This month’s Board updates are all about clarity, confidence, and control – for secretaries, admins, and contributors alike. Whether you’re launching a survey, sending an invite or working through documentation, these new features are designed to make everyday tasks simpler and more secure.
Bring your branding into notification emails
When you upload a custom logo in your workspace settings, it now appears at the top of all notification emails – including task alerts and RSVP requests.
You don’t need to do anything extra. As long as your workspace has the correct setting enabled, your logo will appear automatically. Logos are resized to keep everything tidy and on-brand.
Keep feedback anonymous with a new survey setting
You can now send surveys anonymously to collect honest input – without identifying individual respondents.
In the Launch and analyze tab, you’ll find a new checkbox: Anonymous responses. When enabled:
- Individual responses can’t be viewed or downloaded
- Aggregated results can only be exported once the survey is completed
- Responses are shown as “Anonymous”, and listed in random order
- The anonymous setting is carried over if the survey is duplicated
You’ll see it marked as an “Anonymous survey” wherever the survey appears – including dashboards, tabs, and the survey details view. And to protect privacy, surveys in progress can only be closed once more than one person has responded.
Download individual documents, wherever you’re working
You can now download individual documents, in original format – not just PDFs – from more places across Board, such as agenda, tasks, and the dashboard. This also includes downloading specific documents from the board book.
If download permissions are disabled at the workspace level, the option won’t appear within the agenda and board book – keeping your governance settings intact.
First invites now come from familiar faces
To improve deliverability and reduce the chances of invites being lost in spam filters, we’ve updated how invites are sent. When admins or secretaries invite new users, they’ll now be copied in to help troubleshoot login issues and confirm delivery.
This simple change helps users recognize the sender and improves delivery success – especially for external directors joining for the first time.
