Smarter document organisation and more flexible permissions are now available in Ideals Board – helping teams find content faster, collaborate more efficiently, and manage access with greater control.
Smarter document organisation with sorting, search, and filters
Users can now organise documents more efficiently with familiar 3-state sorting across all table columns, making it easier to quickly find the most relevant content. Sorting supports ascending, descending, or default views depending on how teams prefer to work.
Filtering and search in Documents have also been significantly refined, making it much easier to organise and discover content across the workspace. Users can now quickly narrow down results using improved filtering capabilities, while the updated search experience delivers faster, more intuitive discovery with partial-match and case-insensitive support. Results also surface content from subfolders, helping teams navigate large document structures more seamlessly.
More flexible access management
The updated access management modal provides a more intuitive structure and improved usability, helping administrators and collaborators better understand who can access documents and what actions they can perform.
A new “Manage” permission has also been introduced. This permission allows users to:
- Share access with others
- Upload documents
- Manage existing files and permissions
In addition, uploading documents at the root folder level is now available to all users with appropriate permissions – expanding collaboration capabilities beyond Admins and Secretaries.
Faster actions and improved usability
Several workflow improvements have been added to make interacting with Documents quicker and more efficient. Users can now access common actions directly from the table using right-click support, reducing clicks and improving navigation speed during day-to-day work.
Performance and experience improvements
This release also includes behind-the-scenes improvements designed to make Documents feel faster and more reliable.
Updates include:
- More accurate “Who can access” calculations
- New in-row action overlays for quicker interactions
- Improved table rendering performance for smoother browsing and navigation
Ideals Board also continues to support over 50 file formats in Documents, alongside unlimited storage, giving teams the flexibility to work with the files they already use without unnecessary conversion or storage constraints.
